NEWS: Warcraft Movie Announced:

For those of you who tl;dr'd it, here's a summary:

• Way back in 2006 Legendary Pictures bought some rights to film Warcraft from Blizzard Inc.
• It was announced, recently, that Sam Raimi will be directing the upcoming film. (The same director who brought you the Evil Dead andSpider-Man trilogies [although there are rumours of a sequel for Evil Dead])
• Charles Roven will be the producer. He is the producer who brought The Dark Knight to tremendous success.
• The film is under a co-production and co-financing agreement between Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros.
• Information such as cost, and release date, will be released as production continues. So no information yet.

Jeff Talks:

Being somewhat familiar with Warcraft Lore I must say this movie promises to be awesome. It comes down to the combined skills of Sam Raimi and Charles Roven (both of whom have released spectacular television epics), juxtaposed to the prodigious storyline of Warcraft. So this movie shouldn't fall straight on it's Gluteus Maximus, unless they do something like introduce monthly subscription fees.

But who knows?
